Baby Adriyana {Newborns}

 Newborn sessions are my favorite, especially when the baby is completely cooperative and snuggly and oh so cute!  Meet baby Adriyana!  She was such a doll baby to work with!  Her Mother was thrilled to play dress up, so we put her in a couple tutu outfits and played with some props and had a blast!  Here are a few of my favorites from her session…

Payton turns 1, Easter Pics, and More!!!

I’m still working on getting caught up on blogging….  This session was about a month ago, right before Easter…

I love my job!  Being a photographer, I occasionally get to meet amazing families that come back to me several times a year for photos of their family milestones.  This family is one of those that I absolutely just adore! I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful little girl for her newborn, 6 months/Christmas photos, and now her Easter and 1st Birthday pictures too!  This is little Payton, one of the most adorable tiny client’s I have.  She and her family are the sweetest people ever and I always look forward to our sessions together.  This one was no exception!  She was so cooperative and fun and let me dress her up in some of my little tutu dresses that I have in the studio as props.  She looked so sweet that I made one of the images the photo on my new business card (the first purple flower dress image below)!

I hope I have the opportunity to continue to photograph this beautiful little girl and her wonderful family! Here are some of my favorite images from our day…

Miss Deaja {Fashion/Boudoir}

Talk about a fun shoot!  This lady is exceptionally beautiful and tons of fun… she knows how to pose and knows how to work it!  Deaja and I did a fun combo of fashion and boudoir for her shoot last month… She even brought her own giant bow!  Take a look at some of her images and you’ll understand what I mean…

Miss Cristina

I was honored to be chosen as the photographer for Miss Cristina’s first photoshoot.  She’s a beautiful young lady who is looking to do some modeling for fun and she came to me to start her portfolio and get more comfortable in front of the camera.  She did a great job!  Here are a few of my favorite photos from our studio session…

Nico & Rocco {Family}

Nothing is more precious than photographing a newborn… except when you get to photograph a newborn with his older sibling and see the love between them…. It makes my heart melt! Meet Nico and Rocco – two of the sweetest little boys! I loved doing this shoot and watching Nico (the older brother) care for, smile at, and kiss his little brother Rocco! Thank you to their parents for allowing me to capture these precious moments! Here are some of my favorites:

Donna & Son {Family}

I’ve been so very busy shooting that I’ve neglected to update my blog (again….) So I’m trying to play catch up.  Please forgive me ;)   Not only am I busy, but I’m nearly 6 months pregnant with our second child, so I’m fairly tired as well.  Ok, so back to business….

I photographed a beautiful Mom and her son last month.  Donna had been a friend and client of mine for some time, shooting primarily fashion photography.  I was so thrilled when she asked me to do some studio shots of her and her adorable son for Easter!  Although he was a little camera shy, he looks like a little angel in his images…. and Donna is always absolutely gorgeous!  This was a really fun shoot and I thank Donna for choosing me to capture their images.  Here are some of my favorites!

A message about image quality and copyright law…

For those of you who follow my work both online and in print, you may see a significant discrepancy between the sharp images you see in print and those that you view online.  This is because I do not upload high resolution photos to social networking sites such as Facebook or even this blog.  Images are too easily saved from these types of sites, and because I maintain copyright to all of my photography, I do not want these photos to be illegally altered, printed, or used in any way without my permission.  Therefore, by uploading only low-resolution images, I am assured that any printing that does occur without my knowledge will result in nothing more than a grainy, low quality print.  So please be assured that the images that you purchase either in printed fashion or on CD are high-resolution images of exceptional quality.

Also, please remember that the photographer retains copyright to all images provided.  While you may purchase a print release, you do not purchase the actual copyright per USC Title 17 (US Copyright Law).  This means that you may reproduce your images for personal use, but may not use any images for commercial or editorial purposes or enter any of the images in competitions without the written permission of Deborah Kocan.

It is also recommended that you do not upload any high-resolution images that you may purchase on disc to social networking sites, such as facebook or myspace, as these can be altered and reproduced without your knowledge or permission.  Always use only low resolution photos for these purpose (72 dpi or less).

Sew Very Pink!

I was once again asked by the amazing Angie Fec to do a photoshoot for her Sew Addicted line of clothing!  Due to the availability of everyone involved, the only day we could shoot was a snowy day…. and we were shooting outside…  in VERY LITTLE CLOTHING.  I have to give credit to the models, who did an amazing job while freezing their bums off!

Angela V – Simply Gorgeous!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting Angela.  She’s a young Mom of 2 who wanted to do something fun and pamper herself! What better way than to buy some new clothes, have your hair and makeup done by a professional artist, and have a blast with a personal photoshoot!  She was so great in front of the camera!  We joked and laughed the whole time and had such a great time together!  Not to mention, her images are GORGEOUS!  Check them out!

Pirate City Productions {PCP} We Own The Night!

Now this was a fun shoot! I hooked up with Pirate City Productions and PCP Apparel to do the St. Patrick’s Day shoot for their newest green PCP shirts.   Amazing group of people and it feels great to support local Pittsburgh based business!  Now check this out….
